Learn Together to Live Together!
“Tullamore ETNS is a place where we ensure that every child feels safe, valued, cared for, and where they can be their authentic self and belong."
You are very welcome to our school website, which I hope captures the welcoming, caring, hard-working and enthusiastic atmosphere that exists in our school. I also hope that you find it a helpful source of information about our school, including policies, our school calendar and the latest news from our kind and vibrant school community.
It’s a real privilege to be entrusted to lead such a wonderful school and to support our children in reaching their full potential in all areas. We work closely with parents and the local community to maintain our strong sense of community. We celebrate all children’s strengths and we value what makes us all unique. Tullamore ETNS is a place where we ensure that every child feels safe, valued, cared for and where they can be their authentic self and belong.
As we all know, it’s the people who make the community. Our children constantly amaze me with their kindness, empathy, confidence, special interests, unique skills and their creative, intelligent minds. We learn from them every day. As principal of Tullamore ETNS it is a gift to work alongside teachers and SNAs of the highest calibre. Our staff put so much of themselves into their roles and most of it goes unseen but never unnoticed. Our teachers and SNAs share their individual strengths and passions to light up children’s learning and foster a life-long love for education.
We are fortunate to have a beautiful purpose-built building with spacious classrooms for both our mainstream and special classes. Our well-resourced special education rooms also allow staff to provide quality support whenever it is needed. We greatly appreciate that parents have entrusted their children to our care at Tullamore ETNS. I thank them for their continued support and co-operation.
Le gach dea ghuí,
Ultan Casey
Principal

Brief History
A Look Back at Our Story
2004
Tullamore Educate Together National School was established in 2004 by a group of like-minded parents seeking a multi denominational Primary school alternative for Count Offaly. Fionnuala Morgan was the school’s first Principal, and Monica Daly was the school’s first Chairperson. The school had humble beginnings in a pre-fab off Church Street, and those involved in the early days are to be commended for their leap of faith into the relative unknown.
2007
In 2007 Cathy Lyons was appointed Principal, and in 2008 the school moved to an eight-classroom building at its current location, off Collins Lane, in Tullamore. In 2014 the school was extended to include extra classrooms, a sports hall, and The Arc ASD classes. Cathy Lyons was central in establishing the school community and culture we have today. Cathy retired in 2025 with the school not only well established in the local community but thriving.
2026
In 2026, Ultan Casey was appointed as Principal of Tullamore Educate Together at a time when we are expanding our special class provision.

Co-Educational
All children are encouraged to explore their full range of abilities and are provided with equal opportunities regardless of their gender or identity.
Child-Centered
Our child-centred approach means that we put children at the heart of all policies and practices and involve them in decision-making where appropriate.
Democratically-Run
We run our school on a democratic basis, encouraging active participation by parents and students in the daily life of the school whilst positively affirming the professional role of the teachers.
